16" 3.5" Mitas C-01 trials tire set up
This will most likely be a limited time listing. One of the most popular tire requests I get from customers is the Shinko 241 on a 16 inch rear wheel. The problem with that tire with many customers is it only comes in a 3 inch wide which is fairly skinny. I ordered a handful of this tire which is similar to the Shinko 241 except larger. It's both wider and taller. It's 3.5 inches wide. Please look at the photos I've included which show a side-by-side comparison of this tire next to the Shinko 241. I ordered these from overseas so I had to pay a lot of shipping and therefore I have to charge $50 more than the other 16 set ups I sell. the customers that purchase the Shinko 241 usually ride mainly street with occasional trails. This tire leans for the customer who rides a little more trail than Street but street being a large percentage. On the other hand, being that it's a much larger tire when riding off-road you can really decrease the PSI of the tire and crank down your rim lock to prevent tire slippage. This will greatly increase your traction. Trials tires on full size bikes run in the neighborhood of 5 psi. They're meant to be run at very low PSI but trail riding I ride my trials tire at 7 psi. And of course on the street you will want about 15. PSI is rider preference and nothing written in stone. Feel free to have any questions you may have on this setup. Thanks
